CA Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial

This weekend, I stumbled upon the California Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Sacramento’s Capitol Park.  The memorial contains five bronze statues, one of which is of a 19-year old boy and sits directly under the flag pole.  He holds an M16 in one hand, and a letter to his parents in the other.

  1. This strikes home. I lost several friends in Nam–all young like this memorial depicts. When you let this photo take you into those days and that way, you can find a lot of faces, many forgotten, looking back and just wanting to be remembered.
